FluMist Vaccine Clinic
October 16, 2014
On Thursday, Oct. 16, Dr. Kim Clinton from The Pediatric Clinic will be on-site at both the NLR Elementary and secondary campuses immediately following chapel to administer the FluMist vaccine. To participate, parents must complete and submit the required form with payment to your CAC campus by Tuesday, Oct. 14. Parents wishing to receive immunizations may do so at 8 a.m. at the North Little Rock Campus.
FluMist is intended for seasonal influenza and to combat the H1N1 virus. The vaccine is delivered by a gentle mist sprayed into the nose and is not administered by a shot. The cost for the FluMist vaccination is $30 and annual vaccination is recommended to prevent infection by influenza.
Additional questions about the FluMist vaccine or seasonal injection to prevent influenza should be directed to a family healthcare provider.
