I am committed to doing all things to the glory of God. Coaching wrestling is no exception, and I will put the spiritual growth and mental and physical health of the young men who wrestle for me above winning and above our success as a team. My deepest desire is for them to know and follow Christ, to display character and kindness that glorifies God, and to love each other as Christ has loved us. In addition to those primary goals, to the best of my ability, I will strive to create an environment that will encourage learning, hard work, growth, and excellence from our young men. I will give them the tools to be successful and push them to work hard. I will expect them to have a Christ-like attitude, demonstrate exceptional effort, and have fun.
In CAC’s 12 years of wrestling, we have won three State Championships. In six of those 12 years, we have placed in the top three. We have had 21 individual state champions, five outstanding wrestler awards, and one victory with honors recipient. We have also had a Dave Shultz award winner, which is one of the highest honors a wrestler can achieve in the nation.
We want to continue this tradition of excellence in the wrestling program at CAC and to help these young men battle adversity, overcome challenges, and prepare them to be men of character. Please join us in this great sport of wrestling.
