Mustang Monitor – October 5th
I hope this finds you satisfied with the coolness and dissatisfied with the dryness. Mr. Weather App says both are likely to be around for a while.
We’ve concluded a big week on Mustang Mountain. Lo and behold! Another one looms straight ahead.
We hope you had a grand time at the CAC Scramble (if you played) yesterday at Country Club of Arkansas. We appreciate you for your support for ALL of our programs and our work at CAC. Shout Out to Chad Tappe for pulling it together with help from some others as well. It was a grand day to be in the out of doors.
You might have heard about the bus accident involving some members of the Heber Springs football team. While it is tragic, it is also a blessing that injuries were as limited as they were. Driving the bus at the time was former CAC teacher/coach, Darren Gowen. Although not injured, Coach Gowen is understandably distressed. Monday in chapel we will have a time of prayer for the injured, their families and friends and a former Mustang. Join with us about 9:45 or so in person and/or prayer from your location.
Tomorrow will be District Tennis Tournament Day!!! The event will be at Fountain Lake High School just outside of Hot Springs. We will try to keep you updated via Twitter as results are available. Best wishes to the team and Coach Stewart.
Wednesday is a 2:00 day to mark the end of the current Nine-Weeks Grading Period. Teachers will be finalizing grades and posting to Renweb for your information. In connection, Friday is a No School Day for students. This will allow plenty of opportunity for Parent Teacher Conferences. Contact teachers via email at THIS LINK to schedule a conference.
On Friday, the Football Mustangs travel to Heber Springs to continue conference action. All Mustangs have been invited by the Panthers to participate with them in a PINK OUT event to raise awareness of breast cancer. Our team, cheerleaders and students will be cooperating; your participation is invited as well.
That’s it for now. Check out the attached schedule and make your plans for the week. We will send out updates as information is available. Until the next time, give us a shout if we can be of help. Thank you for your attention and support.
