Mustang Monitor – August 12, 2015
Cold Wave Greetings,
Better get those longies out; low temps in the 60’s the next day or three. A welcomed relief. I’m already looking forward to Saturday morning on the deck with my java and newspaper. And the copious number of squirrels I’m fattening for the dumpling pot!
We are up and running with a great Day One for the middle-schoolers yesterday. Only a few casualties; all adults. Half a dozen or so parents with Separation Syndrome; one teacher still in shock! We’ll be OK though. The kids seemed to be the most adapted and adjusted and did a grand job navigate the “Whole New World.” It was the Happiest Mountain in the US yesterday!!! Thank you for send your little bundles of joy our way. We appreciate you for it!!!
Not too much on the activity front; will share what we have.
Thursday, 8/13 – Final Fall Sports Parents Night – 6:30 pm, Cone Auditorium. If you have a football player and did NOT attend last week’s meeting, you must attend the 6:30 general session to ensure your child may participate. That is a AAA requirement. Groups meeting after the general session – Tennis (grades 9 – 12), Cross Country (grades 7-12), Junior Cheerleaders
A Shout Out to the Lady Mustang Golf Team – The squad finished in the Runner Up position at a tournament at Centennial in Conway last week. They were led by medalist, Josie Roberson! Others playing included Alexa Goodlow, Allie Weiner and Cheyenne Butler. Great job ladies!
