Mustang Monitor – February 16
Chilly, Icy Greetings,
Well, at least no missed school so far. A day off is a day off. I’ll take it. We shall see what thawing permits us to do in the immediate future.
The weather has compromised the varsity basketball tournament as play for tonight has been cancelled. Now, the guys will enter on Thursday; the girls on Friday. The schedule and potential opponents are on the Weekly Schedule and are as accurate as possible, given the circumstances.
A great night of celebration on Friday. Congratulations and a Mustang THANK YOU to all of the seniors and families represented. Thank you for your support, participation and being in the CAC family. Also, congrats to Sarah Butler for taking over the top spot for career assists and to Sydnie Jones for moving even higher on the list for career rebounds and scoring. Some great Lady Mustang thrills from those two. AND MORE TO COME!!!!
Activities start to wrap up this week and post-season play begins for basketball, wrestling and swimming. Good luck to all in their ventures. Wrestling state will be at UALR at The Jack; swimming district at Conway with state to follow next week at UALR. Basketball regionals will be at Trumann High School, Feb 25 – 28 with state at Ozark High School March 4 – 7. The finals will be at Hot Springs Summit Arena, March 12 – 14; exact day/time to be determined.
Well, brevity shall count for something. Time to put on the chili, make some cookies, drink coffee and use some of the 17 loaves of bread and 8 gallons of milk purchased yesterday. And I’m gluten and lactose intolerant. Go figure.
Be well, be warm, be safe and be thankful for Y.O.U. ‘Cuz we sure are. Holler if we can help.
