Mustang Monitor – February 1
Wow, January already gone! How about that? But, no shortage of people to see; things to do; places to go.
Some Shout-Outs for the past week:
Swimming – Jayson Simmons and Dylan Smith both set PR’s in their events at Benton’s meet Thursday. Simmons qualified for state in the 50 yd freestyle with his effort. Great job guys.
Keith Almond’s Mustang Wrestlers took the 3rd place award from the Mustang Mountain Invitational. Only a narrow, 1 point loss in the semi-finals kept them from the championship match. Completing the two day event with undefeated records were Jon Andrews, Preston Barnett, Braden Zini and Jason Kidder! Outstanding!!! Zini and Kidder remain undefeated for the year. Best wishes all as the season wraps up this month. Congratulations to the Lady Mustang basketball squad. With Friday’s win, the Ladies moved to a first place tie for the conference championship. Four games remain in the regular season, two each on the road and at home. Winter Sports Senior Night will be Friday, February 13; plan to attend.
Thursday marks a special event on Mustang Mountain; it will be Middle School Open House at CAC. With plans to move to a middle school/high school arrangement, next year’s sixth graders will join the action on Mustang Mountain. This will open many expanded avenues for academic and extra-curricular experiences for those students. All making the move are invited to the Mustang Mountain campus for special information and to learn of the plan. Wouldn’t it be a great time to invite friends and prospective families to explore CAC’s opportunities? The hour-long program will begin at 6:00 pm. For additional information, contact Chad Tappe at firstname.lastname@example.org or 758-3160, ext 224.
