Mustang Monitor: September 29
Fall, by leaf count, is definitely upon us. I hope you have been blessed with some quality time in the great out-of-doors to enjoy the beauty of the season.
As we ponder that peace, reality brings us back to the multitude of events available for your viewing (yea, even participation) pleasure. To wrap up some past business.
Congrats to the Lady Mustang Volleyball squad for three big wins last week as well as the Mustang Football team for a victory and a 1-0 start to conference. It was great to see these outstanding student athletes in action; I hope you enjoyed some viewing opportunities as well. Tennis lit up last week with big team win and individual success continues in Cross Country.
And, in golf! To refresh your mind, the Lady Mustang Golf team is the new 2-4A District Champions. As such, they will play in the 4A State Tournament at The Country Club of Arkansas on Tuesday. The shotgun start will begin at 9:00 with pre-match festivities beginning about 8:30. We still have need for a bit of adult help if you are available. Golf-knowledge would be good but not required. If you might be available Tuesday sometime in the 8:00 – 4:00 span, please contact me via email. Your assistance will be most highly appreciated. AND, you get to see the crowning of the STATE CHAMPIONS!
While we have a number of professional and “less than such” photographers, you might check out ddh-photo at http://www.ddh-photo.com/riverviewraiders Their rep was present at both volleyball and football last week and might have some shots you’d be interested it. This announcement is provided merely as a public service.
One of the great events of the year happens this Friday: ELEMENTARY CHEER NIGHT! It is great to see the product of our Mustang Cheer Squad as they instruct a veritable plethora of young ladies in the fine art of cheerleading. The product of their labor will be presented at halftime of Friday’s game. Come on out and support their wonderful hard work. While on cheer business, the Junior Mustang Cheerleaders will be selling Spirit Bows over the next few days. You might be prepared to purchase or send some money with your young’un. The bows, in various festive styles, are priced from $5 – $10.
That’s it for now. Have a great week. We will update you as the week progresses and hope to see you at some events. In the meantime, give us a shout if we may be of assistance. OR if you might be available for Tuesday’s tournament. Till the next time; be well, be happy and BE A MUSTANG!
