Mustang Monitor: August 24

Greetings,

We are up and running with the beginnings of a plethora of activities on the horizon.  You’ll notice this Monitor has a Weekly Schedule attached.  It is for your information to help plan your opportunities for CAC activities.  It is the most accurate source for information at the time it is sent.   However, there might and will likely be changes from time to time.  If you get a Monitor with an attachment this week; that means there are changes including additions going into the next week.  We will also do our best to keep the website (www.CACMustangs.org) up to date in the Athletics pages.

“Real” activities begin this week with varsity and JV volleyball starting conference play on Tuesday at home.  Come on out and show the girls some love.  BTW, the gym IS air-conditioned!

Admission to CAC home varsity events is $5 for adults with CAC students WITH their passes admitted without charge.  Students without their pass will pay $3.00.  An Adult Season Pass is available for $125; it is good for all regular season, on campus games for any team, grades 7-12, any sport.  It is also good for home baseball games at Burns Park.  It is a good investment and make entry most convenient.  They are available in the main office or at the gate of any home games.

The LAST CHANCE heat and concussion parent session for fall sports will be Tuesday at 6:00 pm.  It will be in the gym, the classroom to the left.  It is required to permit participation during the fall sports season.  Additional sessions will be help prior to the winter and spring sports seasons.

Football Tuesday in Beebe is a AAA-sanctioned benefit game; admission for all is $4.00.  Only AAA  passes are accepted.  Schools participating include Beebe, Harding Academy and CAC.

Next Tuesday is the year’s first varsity football game.  The Mustangs host Arkansas Baptist in this year’s Buzz Classic Game at War Memorial.  CAC is the home team and will sit on the press box side (in the shade).  Kickoff is at 5:00 pm.  Admission is $7.00 per person.  PROCEEDS FROM ALL PRE-SALE TICKETS GO TO CAC.  Tickets are available in the main office at the high school or you may order, with payment, from the elementary offices.  I will send the tickets to the respective campuses.  Make plans to support this Mustangs as they begin a great year of football action.  Additionally, the PFTA will have their spirit clothes on display and available for purchase in the concourse.

As we begin home games, I’d like to thank (in advance) and explain the Booster Club Concession Stand program.  This year’s Booster Club leaders are Jeff and Sarah Fairchild.  A big ole Mustang THANK YOU to them for their leadership.  Also, a hearty THANKS to the junior and 7th grade cheerleaders.  As a valuable service and a source of funding, these groups will operate the concession stand for all volleyball games.  I appreciate the parents and girls of these two squads for their great assistance!  From time to time, you will hear from your “Team Mom” about helping out in the concession stand.  You assistance is most valuable and highly appreciated.  Concession stand sales provide a significant contribution to the athletics programs at CAC.  All sports receive benefit in the form of equipment and supplies which otherwise could not be purchased.  Thank you to all for your support in this effort.

We’ll wrap this up and let you digest getting in to real action.  Pace yourself; opportunities will continue through mid-May.  Don’t forget, spread the word about the Mustang Monitor.  Subscribe by emailing me or using the link on the website.  Also, follow @BowTieAD on Twitter for timely updates and scores while events are in progress.  And, finally, give us a shout if we may be of help.
