We have reached a point where we must address facility and program needs in order to maintain our commitment to our students and to excellence.
How can that be? Our students are experiencing remarkable success in all areas. On the right is a list of some of our 2005-2006 achievements. Few schools, if any, can match that record.
However, success is measured by accomplishments, and success and excellence are not the same. A commitment to excellence means constantly asking if we are doing our best, seeking to be better tomorrow than we are today.
Our $3.6 million Committed to Excellence campaign is one of the most ambitious fund-raising efforts in CAC's history. In the pages of this Web site you'll read about improvements that we believe are critical for us to do our best. Of paramount importance is a new science and technology addition at the secondary campus. Significant funds will also be devoted to projects ranging from teacher development, endowment and need-based student financial aid, to several facilities improvement projects at our two elementary campuses.
I am pleased to announce that we have already received commitments of approximately $1 million toward our goal. I am excited about what this means for our students, families and friends.
We need your help. Please pray for our efforts, share our plans with others and consider what you can give.
Sincerely,
Carter E. Lambert, Ph.D.
